Get Involved!

As the second largest student organization on campus, IASA is the perfect place to gain leadership experience, contribute to the campus community and create amazing friendships!

These are all the great ways to get involved:

Community Service Volunteer:

IASA’s Community Service chairs come together with the help of their service core to provide members with various opportunities to give back to the community throughout the year. Our largest event is Gandhi Day which will be held on October 8, 2011.

Cultural Show Participant:

By participating in IASA’s Annual Cultural Show, you have an opportunity to meet incredible people and have a lot of fun. This year, the show will be held on November 18, 2011. The show attracts over 4,000 audience members and is one of the only events to sell out Hill Auditorium as the largest student run production in the United States. All the proceeds from the Cultural Show are donated to a worthwhile charity (this year, we will be donating to Each One Teach One). No dance experience is needed.

Political Performer:

Wednesday Night Live, a humorous collection of short skits, has been a staple IASA event since 2008; it is a great medium to convey pressing Indian-American socio-political messages to students on campus. By signing up to be a Wednesday Night Live performer, you get to voice your opinions and concerns through our Political Awareness pillar. This year, Wednesday Night Live will be held on October 26th, 2011.

Attend any of our events:

Aside from Gandhi Day, Wednesday Night Live, and our cultural show, IASA holds several other events ranging from showcases of other South Asian student organizations to 3-on-3 charity basketball tournaments. Check out our calendar to see what events we are having.
